A Message from Our President

Dear Villa Duchesne and City House Alumnae,

As we begin another exciting school year, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to each of you. There’s a renewed sense of energy on campus, and I challenge you to come see it for yourself!

From vibrant student life to new programs and refreshed spaces, there are so many exciting things happening at Villa Duchesne. This campus is more than just beautiful—it’s alive with purpose, learning, and community. Whether you’ve walked these halls decades ago or just last year, you’ll feel it the moment you return. Join us on October 10th and 11th for reunion weekend.

This year, I especially want to highlight our alumni scholarship which speaks to the strength of our legacy: the The Sisters McNally/Ghio Alumnae Scholarship. This endowed scholarship is available to incoming freshmen whose mothers or grandmothers attended Villa Duchesne or City House. It’s one of the many ways we’re celebrating and supporting the generations of women who continue to shape our school. If you have questions regarding the scholarship please visit www.villa1929.org for more information.

Let’s keep the connection strong. Let’s promote what makes Villa Duchesne unique. And most of all, let’s pass it on—our love for this school, our shared traditions, and the bright future we’re building together. If you wan to stay connected join our Alumni Directory or drop me a note at mcleeker@icloud.com

Hope to hear from you or see you on campus soon!

Warm regards,

Mary Catherine McDaniel Leeker VD ’85
